இந்த மந்திரத்தை பிரதோஷ காலங்களில் முழு நம்பிக்கையுடன் இறைவனை பிரார்த்தித்து சிவன் கோவில்களிலோ அல்லது வீட்டில் பூஜை அறையிலோ அமர்ந்து கடவுள் மேலும் மிகுந்த நம்பிக்கையோடு 108 முறை உச்சரித்து வந்தால் வாழ்வில் அனைத்து வித துன்பங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுபட்டு வியாதிகள் இருந்த நிவர்த்தி பெற்று சகல சம்பத்துடன் எந்தவித எதிர்மறை எண்ணங்களும் வராமல் அனைத்து வீதிகளில் இருந்தும் விடுபட்டு சகல சம்பத்துக்களுடன் சுக சந்தோஷத்தோடு வாழலாம்.

Meaning:
இந்த மந்திரத்தின் பொருள் என்னவென்றால் மரணத்தை வென்றவனே, இந்த உடல், அங்கங்கள் மற்றும் உடலால் ஏற்படும் அகங்காரங்களை அழிப்பவனே, இந்த அகிலாண்டத்தின் அணு அணுவிலும் வியாபித்திருக்கிறவனே, பேரின்பத்தின் ஆதாரமே, நித்திய சொரூபமே, பிரம்மாண்டத்தில் நிரம்பி உள்ளவனே தேவர்களுக்கெல்லாம் தேவனே உன்னை வணங்குகிறோம்

Mrityunjaya: The conqueror of death
Rudra: One with a ferocious form
Neelakantha: The blue-throated one
Shambhave: The bringer of quietness
Amruteshaaya: The bringer of amruta or nectar to this world
Sarvaaya: The omnipresent
Mahadevaaya: The supreme among gods
Te Namaha: To you, I bow and pray in obeisance
How to chant
Start by lowering your voice to a whisper while maintaining focus
Progress to silently chanting the mantra in your head
Continue until you reach 108 repetitions or for as long as you wish to
End your practice with a few deep breaths
